Winter to Spring, the Workout Plan.

Tomorrow marks the Winter Solstice, thee shortest day of the year. It also marks the beginning of my 4 month exercise plan. Since moving into the new house, I have been pretty lax about hitting the rower or doing any real form of exercise other than walking the dogs, and mowing the lawn. That, is all going to change starting tomorrow.

The goal is this; drop 10 to 15 pounds of flabbola and tone up before going to France at the end of April.

The Method is simple. At least 8415 meters on the Concept 2 rower every other day for the next 4 months. In addition, no more fried food, and a big reduction in things like alcohol.

The 8000 plus meters is the equivalent to running 5 miles, but with better calorie burn, a more impactful cardio workout, and an overall toning of all the muscle groups in my body. In addition to the Concept 2, I plan on doing a light strength building program using an exercise ball on the off days. Ten exercises done in sets of 2, that last 30 minutes total.

Each day I am going to post my daily progress to see if I can hit my goal, and what the final results are going to be. So, with that said here is the opening log, with one day before I begin.

Height: 6 feet 4 inches

Weight 209 pounds

BMI: 25.4 or slightly on the chubby side, A BMI index of 25-29.9 = Overweight

My target end result is 185 to 190 with a BMI closer to 22.5
