Mingo Design’s Living Wall for PNC

A quick little post for Sunday afternoon. I found this today while doing some research for a design project. I stumbled on it and wass blown away. There should be more living wall installations in North American cities.

Kari Elwell Katzander of Mingo Design has created a living wall for the PNC Financial Services Group building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is the largest living wall installed in North America. It is almost 2400 square feet in size and is made up from 602, 2 foot by 4 foot cells. The work was inspired by designer Verner Panton and artist Alexander Calder’s Works.
