I am always on the look out for a good shelving system. One that is compact, functional, easy to change, and above all good-looking. I want something that hides the mounting and support hardware, and allows the shelves to take on a secondary use, when items are removed.
Riveli Shelving meets all of those requirements. Chicago based design Mark Kinsley struggled with finding shelving that would work in his small Chicago apartment. Frustrated by a lack of well designed choices, he designed and built a space-saving shelving unit for his own personal use. He soon realized though that many people were in the same situation he was in, so he partnered with Iconic Revolution to manufacture and distribute the Riveli fold down shelving system.
The shelves fold up against the wall when not in use, and can be reconfigured as needed. Based on a standard grid system they are available in a number of sizes, and the front panels are completely customizable with your own design. So, when the shelves are folded up, they serve a secondary function, they become home decor or art if you have the mad skills to design your next master work.
