Because You are Bugging Me, You Must Die.

As summer approaches I have begun to notice that wasps just love the slatted wall screening that surrounds my house. It makes for a perfect place to build their nests. This means that they also get very annoyed when i want to sit on my deck and encroach on what they perceive as their territory. At the end of the day though, the wasps don’t pay rent, and or my mortgage so they have to go.

I have two dogs so I am always looking for a nontoxic way to get rid of the little buggers (pun intended), and when I found this I said “Oh yeah”.

Designed by Pernille Vea, the organic wasp trap uses a simple blend of sugar and vinegar to attract the wasps and keep them away from me. The wasp traps funnel shaped hole works like a fish trap: once inside, the wasp can’t get out again.

Now before I get a bunch of email and comments telling me how cruel I am for killing mother natures little helpers you need to know, I’m allergic to the stings. It’s either me or them, and frankly I really don’t want to end up going to the ER because of the wasp invasion. Also it should be said that the 3 acre field and woodlands to the South and West of my house offer fine rustic home opportunities for said wasps.

The trap runs from 20 to 30 bucks on the internet. It’s easily found if you do a Google search on “designed by pernille vea”
