iPad Music, Synth 67 and North Point’s iBand.

Earlier today my friend Tim Stout sent me a link to a YouTube video of a the North Point’s iBand playing Christmas songs exclusively on iPhones, and iPads. While this isn’t a new thing, the video is a great example of just how people are using iOS devices to create some pretty impressive music. (BTW, I have no idea if these guys use the Synth 67 app for the iPad. They should though)

This application for the iPad from Jonas Eriksson is a great example of how people are developing musical apps for the iOS and just how beautiful they can be.

Synth 67 is so beautifully designed that I want to buy it regardless of whether or not I’ll actually ever use it. Designed by Jonas Eriksson the Synthesizer 67 app design is one of those things that I feel I need to get my hands on and play with. The visuals  are great, and the polished retro look is so inviting. Eriksson has some definite skills when it come to design, and illustration. The attention to detail in the UI on this application is outstanding.
