I see a Boxster and I Want it Painted Black.

I’ve always been a fan of the Porsche Boxster. The car is just beautiful no matter how you slice it. Exquisite lines and styling, attention to detail and outstanding materials help to make this automobile looks stand the test of time. You can look at one that is 15 years old and it still looks stunning.

Porsche has released the new Boxster Black edition, which will be produced in limited numbers and go on sale for just over 65k later this year. Powered by a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine and paired with either a six-speed manual or thePorsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe seven-speed double clutch transmission automatic: This drive train  outputs 320 horsepower and will propel the Boxster Black from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and will push the Boxster Black to an electronically limited top speed of 170 mph.

The car is completely styled in custom black paint and trim with a black body, black convertible top, black-painted 19-inch wheels, black safety bars, black side air intakes, black twin exhaust tailpipes, black seats.  The only non black pieces on the car are the stainless door sills, and the aluminum components on the interior, such as door handles,  shifters, and a few minor parts.

If I had an extra 65k, I’d buy one.

  1. Also they’re limiting production to 987 of the little gems, 987 being the model designation for this version of the Boxster. Porsche can always be counted on to release these luscious special editions as a model comes to end of life; witness the new Carrera GTS as well.
